Silhouette models that have an LCD screen (Cameo 2 and Cameo 3) may encounter firmware issues that can cause the machine to not power on properly.

 

To verify if this is the concern, please do the following:


  1. Remove the power cord connection that is hooked into the Silhouette machine
  2. With the power cord removed from the machine, hold down the power button on the side of the machine
  3. While continuing to hold down the power button, plug the power cord back into the machine
  4. Continue to hold down the power button until the screen turns light blue. This will take several seconds to engage.


If these steps are followed and the screen of the machine turns blue as described, the machine and the power cord should be functioning.


If this is the case, you will need to update the firmware to resolve this concern. To update the firmware manually, please visit the firmware section of our FAQs to select your cutting machine model and run the latest firmware update.
