If your blade is not being held in place properly after you have locked the blade in place using the lock knob, this may indicate that the lock knob is upside-down.

Adjusting the Lock Knob


To fix this:

  1. Remove the blue knob by pinching it and pulling it forward (toward yourself) 

  2. Once the lock lever has been removed, put the lever knob back onto the machine in the proper orientation
    NOTE: When oriented properly, the knob should be going in a diagonal line from the top-left of the machine to the bottom-right of the machine. The word "Open" should be on the left/bottom side of the lever. 
     
  3. As you push the knob in, the black piece where the lock knob is placed onto will click into place. 
    NOTE: This black peice should protrude through the center hole of the blue lock lever
