Some older model Silhouette Cutting Machines have rubber rings in the center of the roller bar.
These rubber rings are not a critical component for cutting. They are present to provide additional stabilization for select material types during the cutting process.
Rings Breaking
In some cases, these rings may wear down or break over time. So long as the white pinch rollers are gripping the mat or material properly, there should not be any resulting cutting issues despite them wearing down or breaking.
If one of the rings is partially broken and is causing issues with cutting performance, we advise removing it completely.
