If your material is not being held down well onto the Electrostatic Tray, please review your material to ensure it is a good candidate for being held in place by the electrostatic adsorption method.


Materials that can be held well typically have a flat, smooth surface and are non-porous.

Material Compatible for Electrostatic Hold


If your material is not being held down well when using the Electrostatic Tray:

  1. Place your material onto the Electrostatic Tray
  2. Press the 'Electrostatic Attraction' button
  3. Wait for 60 seconds
  4. Proceed with your intended job


Material NOT Compatible for Electrostatic Hold


When using materials that cannot be held well by the Electrostatic Tray:

  1. Place the ES (Electrostatic) Protection Sheet onto the tray
  2. Place a standard adhesive cutting mat on top of the ES Protection Sheet
  3. Press the 'Electrostatic Attraction' button
  4. Wait for 60 seconds
  5. As needed, place a small strip of masking tape on the sides of the cutting mat in order to affix the adhesive cutting mat more securely
