If the Silhouette 3D software program is crashing, either during launch or during use, we recommend to download and reinstall the latest version. This should typically resolve most concerns.
Clean Installation
If required, the following steps can be taken to uninstall and fully remove all components of Silhouette 3D software program.
IMPORTANT: These steps will remove the library, including any non-recoverable user created designs. Back up any content you've created prior to performing these steps.
Mac
- Restart the Computer
- Select the Go menu at the top of the desktop
- Select the Applications option
- Drag ALL instances of Silhouette 3D to the Trash
- Open the Finder
- Press [Cmd]+[Shift]+G
- Type in ~/Library/Application Support
- Press Return
- Delete the folder com.silhouetteamerica.com.s3d
- Empty the Trash
- Restart the computer
- Download and install the latest version of Silhouette 3D
Windows/PC
- Restart the Computer
- Press [Windows]+R simultaneously on keyboard
- In Run window type control panel
- Press Enter
- Select the option for Programs > Programs and Features
- Select Silhouette3D
- Select the option for Uninstall at the top of the list
- Press [Windows]+R simultaneously on keyboard
- In Run window type %programdata%
- Press Enter
- Delete the folder com.silhouetteamerica.com.s3d
- Empty the Recycle Bin
- Restart the computer
- Download and install the latest version of Silhouette 3D
Error 560
This error shows as error 560 when attempting to login to the 3d library.
The following is a workaround that will allow you to access the library .
- Close the 3d software
- Press [Windows]+R simultaneously on keyboard
- [Windows] key is between [Ctrl] and [Alt]
- In Run window type %programdata%
- Press Enter
- Delete the folder com.silhouetteamerica.com.s3d
Note: Once you have finished those above steps you should be able to open and access the library - you will need to do this each time before you reopen it in order to access your library.
