Loading Sensor Issue
The Cameo 4 includes a Loading Sensor. This small sensor appears as a small hole located in front of the left-hand roller.
This sensor allows the machine to detect when materials are being loaded.
How to Reset the Loading Sensor
If your Cameo 4 Loading Sensor is not properly detecting the presence of materials and pulling them into the machine when the load button is pressed, you can perform the following steps to reset it:
- Download and install the latest version of Silhouette Studio
- Open Silhouette Studio
- Go to the SEND panel
- Right-click on the connected machine icon
- Ensure that the "Enable Media Sensor" option is checked
NOTE: If 'Enable Media Sensor' was already checked, uncheck and then re-check it.
If 'Enable Media Sensor' is not present, this likely indicates you have not yet installed the latest version of Silhouette Studio.
Loading Arrow Flashing
About the Auto-Loading Feature
The Cameo 4 includes an auto-loading feature. When the loading arrow on the Cameo 4 model is flashing, this indicates that the machine is waiting for you to load your cutting mat or material into the machine.
To use the auto-loading feature:
- Power on the Cameo
- Press and hold the loading arrow for 3 seconds
NOTE: The loading arrow will begin to flash - Hold your cutting mat or material up against the roller bar
Your cutting mat or material will then be pulled into the machine and the arrow will stop flashing. You can then proceed to send your job when ready.
Disabling the Media Sensor
If the loading buttons continue to flash despite attempting to load your material or are inaccessible after powering on your Cameo 4, or if you just want to disable the auto-loading feature, please do the following:
