1. Overview

The Support Roller is an accessory that keeps your material flat against the machine's rollers. Depending on your machine model, these may be built-in, removable, or available as additional optional items to supplement your setup.

  • Purpose: Prevents media lifting and ensures tracking accuracy.

  • Available Colors: White, Matte Black, and Matte Pink.

2. Model Compatibility

Cameo 5 Series

  • Standard Rollers: The Cameo 5 comes equipped with two built-in support rollers. These are pre-installed and cannot be removed.

  • Optional Rollers: If you are working with specific media sizes that require extra stabilization, you can install additional optional support rollers along the rail.

Cameo Pro MK-II

  • Standard Rollers: The Cameo Pro MK-II includes five standard support rollers.

  • Customization: Unlike the Cameo 5, all five standard rollers on the Pro MK-II are removable. You can replace them or add optional rollers to suit your specific application.

3. How to Install and Remove

Installation

  1. Release the Lock: Pull the lever on the support roller forward to the open position.

  2. Align with Rail: Position the support roller claw into the rail groove on the main unit.

  3. Positioning: Slide the roller to the desired location. Note: Ensure the support roller is mounted at a designated grid position for optimal performance.

  4. Lock in Place: Push the roller firmly against the rail until it fits snugly, then push the lever back to the locked position.

Removal

  1. Pull the lever toward you to release the lock.

  2. Carefully detach the roller from the rail groove.

4. Maintenance and Safety

  • Avoid Excessive Force: Do not apply extreme pressure to the locking lever, as this may damage the mechanism.

  • Finger Safety: Exercise caution when operating the lever to avoid pinching your fingers.

  • Regular Cleaning: Dust and cut waste can accumulate in the support roller over time. Clean the rollers regularly to prevent debris from causing media misalignment or tracking issues.

  • Grid Alignment: Always ensure the rollers are snapped into the designated grid marks on the machine rail to ensure they are properly synchronized with the machine's movement.
