No special action needs to be taken to transfer ownership of a machine to another individual. The new owner will be able to do the following without registering the machine:


Original Machine Warranty Active


If the machine's 1-year warranty period has not yet elapsed, Silhouette can transfer the machine's registration to another account. The new machine owner must contact Silhouette support with a photo of the serial number in order to confirm possession. The machine registration will then be moved to the new account.


Transferring an active machine warranty to another account does NOT

  • Reset the original warranty period
  • Provide access to content purchased on the original owner's account
  • Provide access to any software upgrade from the original owner's account
    NOTE: Accounts cannot be shared or transferred. See Section 3 of the Terms of Use.
