No special action needs to be taken to transfer ownership of a machine to another individual.
The new owner will be able to do the following without registration:
- Set up a new Silhouette account under their own name and email address
- Purchase and download digital content from the Silhouette Design Store
- Download and use the Silhouette Studio software program to operate the Silhouette machine
Original Warranty Still Active
If the machine's warranty has not yet elapsed, Silhouette can transfer the machine's registration to another account.
The new owner can contact Silhouette support with a photo of the serial number (on the back of the machine) in order to confirm proof of possession. We will then transfer the registration of the machine to the new account.
Transferring an active machine warranty to another account does NOT:
- Reset the original warranty period
- Provide access to any content from the original account
- Provide access to any upgrade version from the original account
