Check the following if you are unable to run the Silhouette Connect program.


Checking Compatibility


Ensure you have downloaded, installed, and are running the latest version of Silhouette Connect.

After you have done so, make sure you are running a compatible version of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.


Checking Version


If you cannot open the Silhouette Connect program to check the version number, you can do the following instead to find the installed version:

Windows

  1. Locate the Silhouette Connect application (usually at C:/Program Files (x86)/Silhouette America)
  2. Right-click on the Silhouette Connect Application
  3. Select the Details Tab
  4. The version number will be listed under Product version formatted as 'VX.X.XXX'

Mac

  1. Locate the Silhouette Connect application
  2. Select the Silhouette Connect Application
  3. Press Command + I
  4. The version number will be formatted as 'VX.X.XXX'

Troubleshooting


Uninstall and reinstall Silhouette Connect as follows:

  1. Close Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW
  2. Uninstall the Silhouette Connect Plug-in
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Open and Close Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw again
  5. Close any other Silhouette software program that might be open (i.e. Silhouette Studio)
  6. Install Silhouette Connect
  7. Open Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW
  8. Attempt to access the Silhouette Connect plug-in through your program anew


If continued concerns are encountered and you are running the latest version of Silhouette Connect with a compatible version of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW:


  1. Close the Silhouette Connect program 
  2. Close Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW
  3. Go to the following location on your computer:
    Windows - C: > Program Data > com.silhouetteamerica.Silhouette_Connect
    Mac - Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > com.silhouetteamerica.Silhouette_Connect
  4. Delete the "com.aspexsoftware.Silhouette_Connect" folder and all of its sub-content
  5. Re-start the program
