If your Cameo 2 or Cameo 3 model's touchscreen is not responding, is displaying incorrectly, or is not displaying anything at all (even though the machine can be powered on and makes noise during the 'power-on' process), this can indicate one of the following:

  • The machine's firmware not up to date
  • The machine has bricked firmware
  • There are connection issues (not responding)
  • There are issues with the machine's main board, or the LCD display is damaged

LCD Screen Not Responding

If the screen is not responding correctly or does not turn on, proceed to power cycle the device.

If the issue is not resolved:

  1. Power off the machine
  2. Unplug the USB cord from the machine
  3. Power on the machine

If the touchscreen is responding correctly until the USB cable is connected to your computer, this indicates that a connection issue with the machine is causing the malfunction.

If this is the case, please select your operating system type below to follow the steps and resolve any connection issue that may be present:

If the issue continues, proceed to clear your software preferences.

LCD Screen Stuck on 'Waiting', 'Working', or 'Paused'

If the LCD screen is stuck displaying a status message (Waiting, Working, Paused):

  1. Close and re-start Silhouette Studio
  2. Go to the SEND panel
  3. Select the "X" in the corner of any pending jobs in queue
  4. If no success, also select the "X" in the corner of the box with your machine name

If the issue continues, proceed to power cycle the device.

Updating Firmware

If the screen is still not functioning correctly, update your Cameo model's firmware.
