When using the Cameo 1, Cameo 2, or Portait 1 model, you may encounter an issue where the cut job has vertical gaps where nothing was cut. This indicates that the blade is not fully seated, and so is bumping against the rubber stoppers or white pinch rollers during operation. 

Re-Loading the Blade

To correct this concern:

  1. Remove the blade completely from your machine by unlocking the blade and pulling it up and out
  2. Once fully removed, place the blade back into the holder
  3. Prior to locking the blade back into place, twist and push the blade down to make sure it is seated all the way down in the holder 
    NOTE: Hold the lock lever in place during this action so that the blade does not tap up and down
  4. Ensure the collar of the blade is flush against the lip of the blade holder receptacle
  5. If using a Ratchet Blade, ensure that the blade's fin is pointing forward (in the 6 o'clock position)
  6. Once seated all the way down in the holder, lock the blade into place
