DESIGN

Blade Tapping Process Update

The blade tapping process has been improved for the CAMEO 5 series, CAMEO 5α series, CAMEO PRO MK II, CURIO 2, and PORTRAIT 4 machines.

  • The blade now remembers your blade settings instead of resetting after each cut.

  • If the blade needs to move down, it will reset and tap up automatically.

  • If the blade needs to move up, it will tap up to the correct setting.

  • If there is no change to the blade setting, the blade will not tap at all.

  • If the machine is powered off, the blade is removed, or if a job is canceled, the blade will not retain its settings.

Example:
If you are cutting with the blade set at 4, and your next project requires a blade setting of 5, the blade will only tap once to adjust. Previously, it would reset and tap through all settings before reaching 5. This update makes transitions between cuts faster, quieter, and more efficient.

Print & Cut Update for CAMEO 5α

  • Print & Cut registration has been updated to use a 4-point registration system for improved accuracy.
