1. Managing Your Data Privacy
Silhouette America is committed to your data security and transparency. Users can manage their privacy settings directly through their account dashboard. To access these tools, sign in to your account at SilhouetteAmerica.com and navigate to the Privacy & Data Rights section.
2. How to Download Your Personal Data
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we store regarding your account.
Steps to Download:
Log in to your Silhouette account.
Navigate to the Privacy & Data Rights page.
Locate the Download personal data section.
Enter your Current Password for security verification.
Click Download.
Note: Your data will be provided in a standard CSV format, which can be opened with Excel, Google Sheets, or any text editor.
3. Opting Out of Selling or Sharing Personal Information
In accordance with US Privacy Laws, residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information with third-party businesses.
Steps to Opt-Out:
On the Privacy & Data Rights page, scroll to the Don't Sell or Share My Personal Information section.
Select Yes to stop the sharing of your information.
Enter your Current Password to verify the change.
Click Save.
4. Deleting Your Silhouette Account
Choosing to delete your account is a permanent action. Please read the following implications carefully before proceeding.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: What happens when you delete your account?
Immediate Disablement: Your account will be disabled the moment you submit the request.
Total Loss of History: All purchase history, discounts, orders, and invoices will be permanently removed.
Revoked Access: You will immediately lose access to Silhouette Club Memberships, active or past subscriptions, and software access.
No Restoration: Once the request is processed, the account and its related data cannot be restored under any circumstances.
Steps to Request Account Deletion:
Navigate to the Delete Account section at the bottom of the Privacy page.
Review all warnings regarding data loss.
Check the box: "I understand and I want to delete my account."
Click Submit Request.
Note: Your request will be reviewed by our staff and the removal process will be completed within 15 working days.
5. Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to delete my data? While your account is disabled immediately upon request, it takes up to 15 working days for our staff to fully purge the data from all systems.
Can I get my designs back after deleting my account? No. Once an account is deleted, all orders and cloud-synced library designs associated with that account are permanently lost. We recommend backing up your library locally before requesting deletion.
Do I need my password to change privacy settings? Yes. For your security, a current password is required to download data, opt out of sharing, or request account removal.
